Manufacture vs Mother Nature
On this round of manufacture vs Mother Nature we are putting
body scrubs to the test. I have used natural and shop bought scrubs before. I
have used the Natural Collection Mango and Papaya Body Scrub and Soap and Glory
sugar crush. I really enjoyed both of them and for the natural I have used a
mix of Olive oil , brown sugar and lemon juice.
So to be a fair test I decide to use recipes and products I
had never used before. So when I mixed up the contender for mother nature I
wanted to make a more than one and not use the exact one I had before.

Welcome to A’s potion and lotion
class
Instead of
going for commonly known blend of sugar , oil , honey and lemon I decide to mix
it up, The ingredients I used were coffee, coconut oil, cinnamon and white
sugar and a bit of brown sugar. I used the video DIY Coffee body scrub –
Cinnamon, coconutoil, vanilla by savanah (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2yr9gRT4S8)
After I had
used both products there was no clear
winner in my mind unlike round two. To start off the body scrub I had bought is not the best I’ve ever used, I wasn’t
astounded by it I felt like it didn’t exfoliating
enough it was not very tough. I could not
see or feel the effects it had on my skin. As for the
coffee scrub I really enjoyed the scrub I definitely noticed a
difference after using it, my skin felt smooth and soft but the water was stained
brown which is strange to explain to someone, and that’s one of the cons to the
coffee scrubs that one of the cons that I don’t like about the scrub. As for
the smell I didn’t notice an over whelming coffee smell, it didn’t leave my
skin smelling of anything. I like body products to smell good. So with that
being said ……..
The results
are in (drumroll please)
I think for
this week mother nature wins but not by much I think If it was up against other
brands that I have tried then I think manufacture would have had its first win.
If you have
any products that you want us to put to the test leave it in a comment.
Thank you
for reading and looking at the pictures!
