Cream eye shadows are great to have in your make up collection, I think its a great product to have in a hurry and people use them bases. Most brands do offer cream eyeshadow's and that's why I'm going to putting Highstreet product to the test but they are different price range within highstreet.... So here we go!
In one corner we have Maybelline
Maybelline
And on Bronze
£4.99
Elf Duo Eye shadow Cream
Coffe and Cream
£1.95
The Results
Colour / Pigment
Elf
The lighter colour in the elf duo is pants!! it doesn't show up at all and even when I put ot over the darker colour in the inner corner of my eye lid it does nothing, The other colour I love! Its not as dark as it is in the pan but it is a really nice colour that I don't really own.
Maybelline
Its a really great basic brown it goes on well and looks like the colour that you see in the pot .
Longevity
Elf
This is where Elf was a let down, I tried it with two primers - The first one I used was my beloved Benefit Stay Don't Stray primer and it lasted 5 hours before it was completely gone off my eye lid. The second Primer is the Rimmel London Undercover Shadow Primer and it lasted longer with this primer after 5 hours there was still some shadow on my lid but It had faded.
Maybelline
With the Maybelline one I had to wipe it off my face but it had faded through out the day which was about 8 hours with Benefit Stay Don't Stray primer .
In conclusion
Despite the lack of long wearing I will keep wearing the elf cream shadow just becasue I love the shade but I will probably keep it in my bag if I'm out for a long period of time to touch up, but if I have to rush out and I need something to wear all day then I shall stick with Maybelline colour Tattoo

I love the Maybelline shadow, it's one of my favourites for when I'm in a rush. Haven't tried the elf one but I found your comparison really interesting :)
