I have tried a range of products from the Boots essential range so I thought I would put my thoughts about the range in general and a bit of a mini review of each product that I have tried and share how each worked for me. So let's get to it...
Cleansing Lotion
When I started using this I thought it was great! I didn't see a major difference between the essentials cleanser and the one I had used previously, but when I finished this one and started using a different cleanser (I am pretty sure it was the No 7 gel cleanser) I noticed that the Boots essential cleanser was more stripping then I noticed originally but not to the point where there were dry patches on my face or anything a good toner wouldn't restore. I think it's a decent product and I would use it again!
Eye Gel
I have only used a few eye creams, this being the only High street/Drugstore version and for about £1.50 it's good. I think its main use is hydration and anti-wrinkle properties. I am only 22 so my main focus isn't anti-wrinkle and it doesn't claim to be anti-wrinkle either. With it being a gel it is cooling when it's applied. In general, I will continue to use it.
Facial Toner
This one wasn't my favourite toner but it didn't irritate my skin which some toners have in the past (I have the worst luck with toners). It didn't break out my skin but it wasn't as refreshing on my skin as the Olay refreshing toner but I prefer this to the Superdrug Vitamin E toner. I don't know if I would buy it again. Probably not because it didn't make a massive difference to re-hydrating my skin.
Face Scrub
For me I think this is my favourite out of the products I have tried from the line! I have already gone through a whole tube and I will definitely buy another! It's harsh enough for me but it wasn't too harsh but you can feel it when you are rubbing it into your skin. I have used it everyday before and it was fine for me. It didn't strip my skin and for £/£1.50 I will buy it again.
3 Minute Clay Mask
For me this is not what I thought it would be. It doesn't seem like your traditional clay mask in the sense that it really didn't drag out any impurities in my skin and it didn't really do anything for spots but it did make my skin feel really soft. I have had this for a couple of months and I don't really reach for it often. I wouldn't repurchase it.
In general I think this line is good value for money and there are some hidden gems in the line.
Have you tried anything from this line?
Thanks for reading, A
