If you have read our blog for a while you would know that I tend to use more 'affordable' skin care and face masks aren't any different. I have actually reviewed two out of the three products already but a while ago in Primark my sister saw that they had started doing skin care under the P.S range so she picked me up two things; the Hydrating Face Mask being one of them and I was very curious to see how this would compare to the other face masks I have tried.. so lets get to it.
All of these masks are under £10.
With all these masks I have left them on overnight in place of a night cream and just washed them off in the morning. I have been using masks like this for a about 6 months but I don't use them for 10 - 15 minutes. I don't see the point and it just much more easier to leave it on over night.
The Superdrug Vitamin E Hydrating Face Mask-£2.49
This is my favorite mask out of the 3 I've tried. I've found that out of all the face masks this one left my skin feeling soft, plump and hydrated. It rubs into the skin easily and if rubbed in properly it does dry clear and unnoticeable almost just like a night cream.
Primark P.S Range
This is my least favourite out of the 3 but that doesn't mean it's not decent. If I hadn't used the others then it might have been different but for £1.50 (the cheapest out all of them) it does the job. Other people I know have tried it and liked it but haven't tried the other ones. She just leaves it on for 10 minutes. It does hydrate my skin but not as good as other ones in my opinion and it doesn't dry clear. It hasn't annoyed my skin so if you are on a budget I think its a good choice and if it doesn't work for you it wasn't as expensive as other masks.
Una Brennan 'Rose Hydrate' Range £8.99
It was a close call between this one and the Primark one for second place after the Superdrug mask but this one was better for me and my skin. To be fair to Primark there is about a £7 difference. With this mask it made my skin feel softer than the Primark one but in comparison to the Superdrug mask it wasn't as practical. When I work it into my skin and leave it over night, it dries and gets flakey and crumbly. But with the Superdrug mask it's more like a cream and dries clear so you can't tell that you have it on and that's the main reason why I prefer the Superdrug one.
With all skin care posts this what works for my skin type (which is dry, but more dry to normal than very dry to dry) these may not work for you. The mask doesn't actually say to wear them over night that's what I do and what I have seen other people do and it works for me it might not work for, everyone's skin is different!
