Mother Nature VS Manufacture: Battle of the Hair Masks

Mother Nature VS Manufacture: Battle of the Hair Masks

While brain storming for this week’s idea for Mother Nature vs Manufacture I got inspiration from a past video I had seen on YouTube on how to make baby wipes and that had got me thinking about baby wipes and then made me want to make make-up wipes, but I couldn't get the ingredients right and I didn't want to miss posting today so I started racking my brain and thought of comparing hair masks.

If you have read the past post I have done you will know that I love coconut oil and use it often. I normally use the coconut oil for a hair mask once a week. One of the main reasons why I use it is because its cheap and I can feel the difference when I use it, so I thought I might challenge the product to a Mother Nature vs Manufacture battle.

Let the battle begin ….

 In Manufactures corner
Name : Bee Strong  Strengthening Intensive Mask

 Brand : Herbal Essences

Price: £2.18 at Tesco (The product was on offer yesterday but has come off today. The product is currently on offer in Superdrug’s at £1.97)

 Size: 200 ml

In Mother Nature’s corner we have...
Name : Coconut oil

Brand : KTC

Price: £2.25

Size:  500ml

With the coconut oil  I leave it in my hair overnight. I use about  one and a half hand-fulls for my hair, sometimes even more (my hair comes down to the top of my midriff ). With the Herbal Essence Intensive mask I just dampened my hair and used about a  tablespoon amount in my ends and wore the masks  for about 5-10 minutes and rinsed it out. The smell of the Herbal Essences is a lot better! The one thing that worried me about the Herbal Essences hair mask  is the ingredients, but I researched  some of the ingredients and from what my research said they weren't  majorly damaging. There's Alcohol in the product but it's further down the ingredients list so I'm not that concerned.

 The Results are in …
I preferred the Herbal Essences Mask! My hair felt softer than when I used the coconut oil  and the scent of the mask has kept in my hair for a day so far. I like the product and will continue using it and would like to try some more of the Bee strong products.

Thanks for reading,
A x
