NYC Skin matching Luminizer Foundation Review 

I recently picked this foundation  in from Superdrugs for £3.99 it is currently on offer/ sale for £2.49 .

I can’t find the exact shade on the bottle but I’m pretty sure it’s in shade light. The thing that attracted me to  the foundation was the finish the product claims to have, I have dry skin and prefer a more dewy/glowy finish. I have been using Revlons Colour stay but it didn't have the finish I wanted so I thought I would give the foundation a go based on the fact that I have tried and liked other  from NYC so I think  the odds were in my favour.

First impressions

 The first time I used the foundation I started applying it to my skin and it  looked very orange and because I was getting ready to go out so I didn’t have time to figure out how to use the foundation and get the results the bottle had promised so I stopped applying it and just wiped it off.

So after a bad first Impression I had forgotten about the foundation but when  I was looking through my makeup draw for a foundation to wear and I saw it so I decided to give it another whirl for some reason I decided to apply it within 30 minutes of being awake . I started applying it with a wet sponge and it looked orangeish so I kept blending and building the foundation and I didn’t really like it so I went online too check blogs and reviews to make sure I was using it right and I saw one comment which was a bad review but then I came across two positive reviews with pictures  that foundation looked great in. So I grabbed my Real Technique buffing brush and worked the foundation more. After I left the foundation for a while and it looked a lot better and the luminizing finish was obvious. The foundation is a light coverage and I would only recommend using the foundation when your skin is clear from really noticeable spots. I had a big spot  on my chin and some small ones around my face, the small ones were covered but the larger one on my chin was not covered.

The Verdict 

 I like the foundation and I will continue to use the foundation because of the finish of the foundation. If you are going to try it the tips I would say apply the foundation a while before leaving the house.
