Saving Money Tips

Saving Money.

I think within the beauty industry its easy to spend money  and maybe not the most wisely, I am guilty of just randomly buying a product and then some time  down the road I will see it will sitting in my draw doing nothing or I have many foundation sitting in my draw that I love but then  I want to get the newest one on the market . It’s almost  like a make up devil and angel sitting on either shoulder.  Its easier to spend money then save money so here are some of my ways to help with the saving part.
Multitasking  Products

If you have read any of my mother nature vs manufactor  post on the blog you will know my love for coconut oil. It has many uses I have used as a hair mask , shaving cream and also used it to remove my makeup. The tub I have cost £2.25 and its not on the small side. There are many products that have many uses to it just takes some research to find out how.
Reduced Section

I don’t know how people feel about reduced section I think they are brilliant especially if like to try new things, you get to try new products but you try them for less, Your not taking as much as risk with buying them at full price. Also if you are going to buy reduced section its good to  know what you like as well as trying out new products. When  I first tried the L’oreal Elvive Fibrology conditioner I liked it but when I came to repurchasing the product the product had gone to £3.99 which I was unsure about it but when I was out in Superdrugs I saw the bottles in the reduced section so I picked up two bottles of 400 ml conditioner for £1 each the only reason they were on reduce was  because something had spilt on them,  nothing a quick wipe of a tissue couldn’t get rid of but once I  wiped  them down and peeled off the yellow sticker. Abracadabra good as new.
 Offer and Promotion

In the UK we have two main high street/ Drugstore cosmetic stores Super drugs and Boots but as well as those  Supermarket stock certain brands and most of the time you can find products on sale. All it takes is about 3 minutes to look a product and hopefully find it on offer and this brings me to my next point, research .

Research
1)If you a certain product you want look it up, as they say time is money so if spend a little bit of time you can save some money. I made an order from Superdrug online not long a go  for two reasons one because they had the best deals I got two products that were originally £3.99 each  for £1.97 the brand was also on offer in Boots but the deal was 2 products for £5 so I saved over a pound just from getting them under a different offer but also over £4 off full price and that was  just the two item and also it was free delivery over £10 so I didn't have to pay travel expenses to!

2) There is a myth I trying to prove wrong , cheaper products don’t do the job as well as more expensive ones. This is not  the case with all products but with  SOME products you can get good results and not pay a lot of money, this is what  I am  trying to prove in the mini-series on this blog called  Back to Basic, I want people to find some hidden gems that don't break the bank  and give some information and shed some light on some cheaper products because some good products could be disregard just  because they are cheaper which is a good thing! Do some research  you could find some Hidden gems.

Advantage Card and coupons
I personal don’t see anything wrong with the idea of loyalty cards I think its kind of a win, win situation for everyone.
I don’t think Superdrugs do coupons I could be wrong and if I am can you let me know in the comments because that could be interesting , but Boots on the other hand do  have coupon such as money off, extra points when you buy this or spend a certain amount of money. Boots send out coupons but also you can them from using advantage point machine in stores or  I think they have an app for it to now Where  you can get usable coupons.  They are not all great but sometimes you can get really good ones, ones I have has in the past is 10% of shampoo and conditioners which was great and if you spend an over a certain amount you get over 100 points which is £1 to spend in store  which is the equitant to a free Boots Essentials Lip Salve Original 5g or you can save the points and get money off or not pay money for larger things because you can use your points.

Hopefully these tips are helpful! Sorry for lack of Pictures
