So recently there’s been a HUGE craze in fibre lash mascaras
that claim to increase the length of your eyelashes. Although there’s been a
lot of before and after photos that do show a really great difference between
fibre lashes and regular mascara, it’s quite an expensive product. I thought to
myself there must be something out there that can do the same thing but at a
much cheaper price. So after scrolling through the internet researching and experimenting I have a little DIY for you all...
- Your favourite mascara
- A disposable mascara wand
- A ball of cotton wool
One:
Make sure all makeup is off your lashes, so use a makeup
remover
Step Two:
Apply one coat of mascara. BUT don’t put on too much! You
want to make sure it’s a pretty light layer
Step Three:
Let the mascara dry for a few seconds just so that it’s a
little wet
Step Four:
Brush the disposable mascara wand through the ball of cotton
wool so the brush is completely coated
Step Five:
Lightly brush the wand through your lashes, but only to the
ends. If you get any wool in your eye it does become very uncomfortable. So
just make sure you’re concentrating on the ends
Step Six:
Brush through your lashes again with another coat of mascara
Normally this is the complete routine for me, but if you
feel that you need more coats feel free to add more : )
Results
On the right is how I did my normal mascara routine, although they look kind of long already they don't even come close to the left where I did the DIY fibre lashes!
It’s honestly as easy as those six steps! I tend to only do
this on special occasions and it generally lasts the whole day. Let me know in
the comments, twitter, tumblr, or on instagram if you tried this and how it
worked for you.
Thanks for reading,
L xx
