Make - up Empties 2015

Make -Up Empties 2015

This is an empties post with a twist.. its all about makeup. I have had a bot of a  de-clutter and clear out  and have finally thrown out dried up makeup and used up products so lets get to it.

Stay Don't Stray Benefit Primer
I love this product I will repurchases it in the future but at the moment I have 3 eye shadow primers
that are not near finished, I will be doing a comparison on all high-end eye primers I have but until then I will just let you know I really like this one!

Smash box Photo finish foundation Primer
I liked the primer with the Relvon nearly naked foundation, but I wouldn't purchases it again because I don't think it would be worth the price of the actually product.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
This was the first Benefit mascara I tried and I'm pretty sure it the UK's number 1 selling mascara  which I can see why but after trying Roller lash I prefer the look that Roller lash gives my lashes.

Fat Cat Mascara Me Me Me
In all honesty I only tried this mascara once and I haven't used it since I cant really remember it being that good, it wasn't really memorable so I wouldn't recommend it and I don't think I will ever use it again.

All about Face mascara
I picked this up years ago for under 50p it wasn't totally crappy but I don't think its sold any more but for under 50p it was a pretty good deal.

Maybelline 24 hour colour tattoo eye shadow

I love these eyeshadows they are great for if you are in a rush, because when I'm in a rush I literally dip my finger in a swipe and it looks like you have made more of an effort rather than jut swiped eyeshadow on in 3 seconds. I will buy the bronze colour again. Another plus is that they don't dry up quickly.

Lush Haul August 2015

Lush Haul

I feel like Lush is more of a winter time treat and as the weather in UK is not the best a the moment I have been craving a bath so after work I dragged my feet to Lush and had a bit of a splurge. I got mostly Bath products I also picked up a face mask which is currently in the fridge and I'm a bit lazy at the moment to go and get it but no need to fear I will be doing a review on it shortly....... now let the Bath time treats begin.

Avobath
Now if you have read the blog about April/ May ish you would have known I went threw a Lush Phase after L bought me a Lush gift set, now this Bath Bomb was in that Gift set and I enjoyed it so much that I reviewed it on the Blog and also bought it again now for £3.35 you know I enjoyed this Bath Bomb if I bought it to use again!

 Blackberry Bath Bomb
This one I have has my eye on for a while but I have not allowed myself to indulge in Lush for a while, I almost didn't pick this up but once I smelt it I never doubted that it would go in basket. It smells amazing and has me very excited to use it!
This one cost £3.25

Karma Bubble Bar
Now the colour's in this one are just phenomenal, Now its a bubble bar, which saddens me because can you imagine seeing this dissolve in the bath with the mixtures of Blue , Gold and Orange. Hopefully even as bubble bar I will still get to see the amazing colours.
Now this one cost £4.25 (Expensive!! Now I am going to using this in tiny piece, got to get my £4 worth)  Now it says the fragrances are Orange and Patchouli.

Milky Bath
Now this one caught my eye when looking through The Lush app, I was very intrigued and so naturally when I went into the Lush store it went in my basket as soon as I saw it, now this also is a bubble Bar . Now the label seems to say that it will treat my skin and some the ingredients look like it might help put  moisture into  my skin,  now only time will tell .
This one cost £3.75.

I cant wait to try all of these and see and photograph all of them (especially Karma!)

Summer Empties 2015

Summer Empties  2015

Now this is going to be a long post because as you can see I have a lot of empties to get through! so grab yourself a drink and maybe a snack and lets get to it !!

Hair Care

Naked Shampoo & Conditioner
This was my favourite sulphate free shampoo and I do enjoy the conditioner but when I used it this time it wasn't what I  remembered it to be and I didn't really like it so I don't think I would ever use it again
Loreal Everstrong Shampoo
Now going from a sulphate shampoo I didn't like  to one that I do enjoy, it was good and I really  liked it. Some time with sulpahte free shampoos there not as a good but I really did enjoy this one and thats not the case for all  Sulphate free product. I would use it again.

Batiste Dry Shampoo
Its one of my favorite the only other one I really like is Touch of silver dry shampoo . I did a blog pot on Comparing batiste to Colab dry shampoo here . I will repurchase this again and soon.

Boots ingredients Coconut and almond Hair mask
Its not my favourite one , The herbal essence bee strong is my favourite. It was decent for what the product is and the price if you are on a budget I would try it but its not the best one for under £3/4.

Dove Dry oil Conditioner
I love this conditioner, I picked this up in savers for under £3 but in other stores it is over £5 which for me is expensive for only 250ml when I go to Savers next I will pick up both shampoo and conditioner. I am interested to try the whole line but I think I will wait for it to come on offer.

Body Care
Dove  Body wash
It wasn't anything special at first it was my sister but she thought it was drying out her skin so she gave it to me. I didn't find it drying, it was just like any other body wash but I will say it lavas  a lot!

Body shop crisp Apple body
This was a christmas scent last year and it is one of my favorite scents and I'm hoping it comes back this year! if it does I shall stock up on it in the sale hopefully.

Along came Betty hand cream
Not the best hand cream but it was ok,  I wouldn't repurchases it or use it again.

Lush Sympothny for the skin
It was ok, I loved the smell but it wasn't an amazing cream. I wouldn't repurchases it as it is pretty expensive.

Dior Perfume

Skin Care

No 7  Beautiful skin scrub

This was my favorite scrub and I do use it and if its on No7 vouchers I will buy it again as the vouchers are back, I dont mind the Boots own brand but I do prefer this one

Orgins spot treatment
I have only ever used a couple spot treatments this one worked well but I want to explore others before I call this  my favorite one or say it was a good spot treatment.
Biotanics Facial oil
Its a good oil from the high street and the Biotanics branded is most made up of natural ingredients so its good if you like to use mostly naturally products. Its not my favorite high street facial oil but it pretty good.

Sorry we have been absent from the blog things have been really busy with random things but hopefully we will have more time in the next couple of months

June Favorites 2015

June Favorites
I know its really late but better late then never and some of these products are still favourites in July as well.

May and June have been crazy months for me and July has been no different so I haven't had a chance to try out many different products I have been sticking to thing that I know work and been enjoying them or found a better way to use them. With saying that I have a couple of things that are new to me.

Benefit Give Me Brow
I have recently got into doing my eyebrows, but with being a newbie to the eyebrow game and game is far from on fleek but with the gimme brow it makes it easy and it looks natural to me. I have the maybelline one I haven't really road tested that one but I will give that a road test soon.

Soap and Glory Glow All Out highlighter
I pretty sure this is not the first time it has appeared in my favorite, I have been using this with the Loreal true match foundation on my face and I love how it looks, it looks natural with a hint of glow. I like how it has slight colour but not enough where you can become heavy handed with it and mess up your whole face of make up.  I have been loving applying it with the brush in the picture but I just dont know what brand the brush is. (Sorry)

Lancome hyno star Mascara
Since starting a new job I have really been putting my mascara to the test and with all the ones I have/ had in my collection this was the only one that has not smudge on me and make my eyelash look great, its a great product but it is expensive.

Loreal True Match
I recently picked up this foundation in Superdrug on offer and I have been wearing it most days, I like the way it looks on my skin but I would recommend a primer but like how easy it is to blend and apply and the colour match is good as well.

Kiko Face skin glow
I love this, if you like to have glowy skin then this is the one. it sits well under make up and it makes your skin look amazing!! I used it almost like a primer not as skin care product and it made my skin.look amazing!!!  Also its currently on offer on there website for £4.10.

Clinique 3 Step Review

YAYY! FINALLY my Clinique 3 step review! I’ve been wanting to write this review as soon as this was delivered to me but I knew I would need to wait a little while to see how it worked on my skin. In previous posts I’ve mentioned the problems I’ve had with my acne prone skin and I did find my own way of dealing with and preventing the acne from making a return. One thing I didn’t expect was for my skin to do a complete 180 on me and become as dry as you wouldn’t believe! This started happening to me at the beginning of summer and I couldn’t find a way to get rid of it. It was genuinely getting me down as even when I tried putting on makeup it looked absolutely terrible! A friend of mine told me about the Clinique skin care line a while ago so I decided to order myself a little starter pack for really dry skin just to see how it would work. I got this pack off of the Boots website which you can find here for only £20 and I got the type 1 products as my skin was dry to very dry.

So of course the first step is the cleanser which I’m absolutely loving at the moment. It’s so refreshing first thing in the morning and really wakes me up, aswell as my skin. As this is a cleanser for very dry skin it’s really gentle. It doesn’t irritate the skin whatsoever which is really great when you’re suffering with dry skin. I feel like this product left my skin feeling hydrated and smooth. Although it’s a really gentle face wash it did an incredible job!

After using the facial soap the next step was the clarifying lotion. I can’t emphasize how crucial this step was as it really got rid of any excess dirt that was left on my face. This lotion worked exactly like a toner would as it felt as though it really helped to tighten the pores but not too much to the point where it’s drying.

The final step and the holy grail of final steps was the dramatically different moisturising lotion +. THIS IS THE BEST MOISTURISER ON THE PLANET!!! Guys....seriously....if you haven’t tried this then you NEED to. If I knew this lotion would be like this then I never would have suffered with dry skin for so long! Literally the second you rub this moisturiser into your skin you can feel such a massive difference. I will definitely be keeping this as part of my skin care routine.

So altogether I really do think this set helped so much with my dry skin. It did exactly what it said it would do and completely got rid of the dryness. The only setback to this was that I’ve  now had a little breakout due to how oily my skin got after using this. It’s a little annoying to have gone back to getting spots again but now that I know how to deal with it it’s not as bad. So if you’re having trouble with dry skin I would highly recommend trying out this set. You won’t regret it!

My Top 5 Summer Nail Polishes

I am so in love with this time of year! From the warm weather to experimenting with different looks, I love what the summer brings. I love painting my nails different colours to match my mood or the season and I definitely have a large selection! These are my top 5 nail polishes that I love to wear during the summer seasons.

This is by far my favourite nail polish! I really like the fact that my nails will still be able to breathe and water can reach them at the same time as looking pretty. I do hate that when you wear normal nail polish your nails can look kind of bad after you take off the polish due to the lack of air and water. But, this nail polish is great for that reason! I’ve seen a lot of good reviews on this polish showing how water really does reach the nail. Do for this reason, this is my favourite! I got this from Inglot (of course) for £13 which you can find here. It is kind of expensive for a nail polish but for those who want to take care of their nails as well as have them look pretty, it’s not too much of a stretch.

As you can tell this nail polish isn’t the most summer looking out of the 5 but I’m obsessed with this colour! It goes so well with everything. It’s not as dark as it looks in the bottle either which is a plus. This is from the Barry M section in Boots for £2.99 which you can find here.

Who can go wrong with a nude? I love this nude colour as it has a hint of warmness to it. Of course you know that this goes with absolutely everything. I think this is definitely a summer essential as it lasts for a good few days without chipping. I bought this from the Sally Hanson nail section in Boots for £6.99 here.

I love how this colour reminds me of the clear ocean! It’s been a nail polish that I’ve taken abroad as it’s the perfect summer nails polish. It doesn’t go with everything which is a bit of a bummer but the colour is too gorgeous that I don’t actually care if it doesn’t match what I have on hehe. I of course got this from the Barry M collection in Boots for only £2.99 which is a huge bargain. You can find this nail polish here.

Lilac is definitely a staple nail polish colour to have in your collection. It’s so light and summery I can’t get enough! This colour is a lighter version of lilac in my opinion and goes so well with any outfit. This is from the essie collection for £7.99 which can be bought here.

So I hope you enjoyed my mini top 5 summer nail polishes and maybe inspired you to try out new colours.

June Haul

So I’ve been a little naughty this month (ooops)! Since I’ve finished uni I think I’ve had a lot of free time on my hands and you know what happens when you have free time....SHOPPING! A lot of it has been online but the other day I went to Lakeside shopping centre in East London and bought a few things there too.

I am sooo in love with these strappy sandals! I’ve actually worn them already which isn’t normal for me. Usually I leave it a week or so until I wear new shoes but I wore these straight away. I was a bit worried about them damaging my feet because we all know what happens when you wear new shoes. But I wore them just fine for the entire day without getting any blisters! I got these from H&M for £19.99 and I think they’re a staple piece for any outfit because it really adds a touch of dressiness.

OMG OMG THIS BAG! I’m so excited to use this backpack! I’m hoping to use this as my hand luggage when I go to Florida because I hate using strappy bags or bags that you have to pull. I’d rather prefer to just fling it on my back and get on with my journey. Also, the weight from the backpack is distributed over both shoulders, instead of carrying everything on just one. I really love how the backpack doesn’t look big but when you open it up it has so much room for everything you could possible need. The blush colour and the contrasting gold accents just make me super happy too! I picked this up from ASOS for only £14.50 so get yours now because they’re on sale!!

So as you may know from a previous post (that you can find here) I’m redecorating my bedroom. I haven’t finished just yet but it’s almost done. I don’t want to show you too much but I got this cute cushion from Primark for just £4! It goes so well with my colour scheme and looks gorgeous on my bed.

With my trip to Florida in mind I picked up this set of 3 clear toiletry bags from Boots for just £8. I love how they come in different sizes so that at least I can use one of them in my hand luggage. Also, they’re clear so I can always see what’s in them instead of rummaging around looking for certain products. They feel really durable as well which is always a plus!

I was in Primark the other day and I was genuinely walking around the skincare/beauty area thinking “what is that glorious smell!”. I found it...it was this! I’m so in love with this strawberries and cream scent. I’ve honestly been spraying this everywhere; on my bed, in my wardrobe, on myself lol. LOVE! And it was only £2.50. BARGAIN!

I’m loving how thin this t-shirt is without being too see-through and I think it’s perfect for warm weather. I also really like that you can dress up this top or dress it down. I got this from Forever 21 for just £8 which I think is a great price for what it is.

I also picked up this t-shirt from Primark. Again, it’s a nice thin material that I think is great for keeping cool in the summer. This one is a lot more casual than the other one just because I think it looks sporty. I really like the zip on the chest and the faux leather trims around the neck and arms. This tee was only £6 and they also do it in black.

Continuing my Primark spree with this gorgeous satchel bag that I bought for £8. I really like the colour which is kind of a taupe/grey and I think this could go with a lot of outfits. It’s not shown in the picture but it does have a long strap that’s great for times where you don’t want to carry around a shoulder or arm bag.

I will be doing a review on this Clinique 3 step skin care routine soon. I ordered this little set off of Boots for just £20 as I wanted to see the skin benefits but until then all I will say is so far so good!

I did a review of the Benefit ‘Bronze of Champions’ in a previous post here and I really loved the ‘They’re Real’ mascara. So I decided to get the full version and keep the mini version in my bag. I do think the mascara is a bit pricey at £19.50 but now that I’ve tried it I don’t think I can use anything else.

I've been looking for a cute layered necklace for a while but haven't found anything nice until now. I kept finding layered necklaces with really weird pendants or too many layers, but this one from Forever 21 caught my eye straight away! I love how simple it is but still adds a touch of detail to an outfit. This necklace was £3.50 and for Forever 21 that's a really good price.

I absolutely love these bracelets! I got them from Primark as a set of 3 for only £2!! I love the duck egg colour and how delicate looking they are. I have kind of small wrists so these types of bracelets are perfect!

Last but not least are these gorgeous earrings I bought from Primark for £1.50. I love the detail on these and the whole look of them when they're on. They're kind of similar to one's I picked up from ASOS for £8. These are definitely a bargain!

Phewww that was a lot of things! Hope you enjoyed my June Haul. Please let me know in the comments if you like the new setup.

June Beauty Haul 2015

In the last month or so I have had a trip to Boots and Superdrug and these are the some of the things.  I have been wanting a couple of new things and I also found some pretty good offers so I thought I would take advantage of them. So lets get to it...

I was on the hunt to find a new foundation and in Superdrug's it was 2 for £12 on L'Oreal products which included foundation. The foundation's are normally £9.99 so for £3 more I got one more. I had been looking at these foundations for a while but I wouldn't of bought them at the same time if they weren't on offer but I am glad they were because I saved about £8 which makes me very happy!
I picked up the True Match in shade W1 and the Infallible in the shade 125. The True Match is a better match I may try and go a shade lighter in the Infallible.

Recently, for many different reasons, my skin has not been my friend! I have heard good things about the Tea Tree and Witch Hazel range and it was 3 for 2 so I picked up two things from the boots line and then I started hunting for my 3rd free item. I had never tried anything from the Sanctuary skin care range and I have wanted to so I thought I would try something from the mini range just in case I didn't like it or get on with it and plus the promise of an illuminating moisture lotion with SPF it seemed like a perfect choice.

Thats just some of the damage I have done!

‘Bronze of Champions’ Benefit Box Review

So I picked up this little Benefit box a couple of weeks ago and just had to a review because I’m SO impressed! I originally saw Dina Tokio using the Hoola bronzer and really loved how it came out on her so I wanted to see how it came out on me. When I saw that it came in a box with other little benefit products I just had to try it. I got the box for £26.50 which I think is such a great price for how long these mini products are actually lasting. I really loved how inside the box there was a little booklet showing how to use each of the items. I thought that was such a nice touch. Also, it’s sooo handy that the box can literally fit inside your handbag so you can take it anywhere with you. It’s even a great size to take travelling especially since everything is under 100ml.

1. The Creaseless Cream Shadow (‘Bikini-tini’) and the Long-wear Powder Shadow (‘Thanks a latte’)
The first cute little eyeshadow (creaseless cream shadow in ‘Bikini-tini’) was kind of confusing. I wasn’t too sure on how this eyeshadow worked just because it didn’t really go on well using brushes. I eventually worked out that using my fingers was the best method of application. I loved how bold the colour was and it didn’t crease which was an added bonus!

The second eyeshadow (long-wear powder shadow in shade ‘Thanks a Latte’) OMG! I’m in love with this colour. I know it looks like the most normal shade of brown, but the colour when it’s actually on is a whole other story! I’m not the type of person to wear eyeshadow everyday, but this shadow has definitely made me wear it more often.

2. The ‘Hoola’ Bronzer Powder
Of course the Hoola bronzing powder which many of you are very familiar with. Guys.....I’m on the bandwagon! I’m OBSESSED with this bronzer! I don’t ever want it to leave my life. It’s just the perfect amount of bronze without being too shimmery or orangey. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I really like how it came with a mini brush too. The only thing is that it feels a little bit rough so I tend to use my own brush to blend.

3. The ‘Watt’s Up’ Highlighter
It’s only been within the past maybe 6 months that I’ve got into wearing highlighter and I’ve generally stuck the same one mainly because it hasn’t run out yet. The one I’ve been using is a more pinky based highlighter but this Benefit ‘Watt’s up?’ highlighter is a more goldy based highlighter which I absolutely am loving right now. It goes so well with the bronzed look and the box doesn’t lie when it says it will get you feeling like a goddess!

4. The ‘They’re Real’ Mascara
Have I been living under a rock? Seriously? Why haven’t I been using this mascara since it first came out? I saw the full size version of this in Boots but was a bit sceptical about trying it because I wasn’t really convinced on it being the UK’s number 1 selling mascara.....now I know why it says that! I will recommend this mascara to anyone and everyone! It was such a surprise at how much it lengthened my lashes and I got so many compliments on them! Definitely will be buying the full sized version ASAP.

5. The ‘Hoola’ Lipgloss

I’m not really a lipgloss kinda girl but I did like how this gave an added bronzed look to my lipsticks and lip crayons. It’s nice to just keep in your bag for times when you want a more glossed look.

Hope you all enjoyed this review. Let me know if there are any other Benefit products I should try out. L xx

Hello America!

This picture is not mine and can be found here

Guys......I’m sooo excited!!! I will be taking a trip to Florida in August and I’m superrrrr excited as this will be my first time ever!

I’ve honestly wanted to go for such a long time but haven’t found the best time to go with uni being so busy. But now that I’m finished it’s time to go on such a fun adventure! It will be a family trip with my sisters and parents and we’re doing all the kiddy things we never got the chance to do when we were younger. So we’re visiting all the amusement parks and will be staying in a gorgeous villa for 2 weeks.

Not only am I excited for all the fun and adrenaline, I’m also looking forward to doing new things for the blog like OOTD/OOTN, America Hauls and soooo much other great stuff that I have in store! I hope that you join me on this rollercoaster of an adventure (haha pun intended)!

If you’re from Florida or have been, let me know of any great places that  I should visit or any restaurants that I should try out.
